It has become crystal clear to me that the good that we could be doing is often lost to us because we hesitate to put it in play … and thus we never pass it on.
All that has been given to us is intended to be given away!
One of the earliest lessons that we learn as children is how to share, which will nurture kindness and humility. This then sets us up to live generously, which will then enable us to know the joy of giving and to be able to make a difference.
In doing these things we model Christ, and the moment we begin to elevate Christ … even greater things begin to happen.
We are being renewed in our hearts and we will soon discover that we will be released to serve others in a very dramatic kind of way.
In fact, here is the best way I know how to describe what comes next …
Creating Meaningful Connections … And Staging Others Up For Christ-inspired Change
Our call is not to correct and criticize others but rather to create meaningful connections.
I love this narrative from an article from Bridges International, entitled “How You Can Introduce Others To Christ”,
“So everywhere we go we talk about Christ to all who will listen, warning them and teaching them as well as we know how. We want to be able to present each one to God, perfect because of what Christ has done for each of them.” Colossians 1:28 (Living Bible)
We have the privilege of participating with our living Lord in the fulfillment of His Great Commission in our generation. In my opinion, the only way to change the world is to change individuals.
Changed people, in sufficient numbers, will produce changed campuses, changed communities, changed cities, states, and nations – yes, in a very real sense, a changing world. Jesus Christ is the only One who can change people from within. You can help to change the world by introducing people to Jesus Christ.”
At the end of the day, nothing matters more than this. It is when we choose to obey Christ and to walk with Him in all of His ways that we can make the greatest difference.
Creating Meaningful Connections … And Staging Others Up For Christ-inspired Change
Our call is not to correct and criticize others but rather to create meaningful connections… so our challenge will be to fully commit ourselves to …
▪ Speak words of life
▪ Shoulder heavy burdens
▪ Sow seeds of encouragement
▪ Show sincere compassion and concern
▪ Stay close
▪ Secure spiritual stability
Nothing can replace this and it is critical that we make sure that we get this done.
It is to this that we have been called and in saying yes to this, we will fulfill the purposes of God and find His pleasure as well.
Creating Meaningful Connections … And Staging Others Up For Christ-inspired Change
I know that this matters and I know that we dare not miss it!
I am in … and you!
