Thinking strategically seeks a solution, so we want to come in great expectation, knowing that it is a proactive process that always begins with prayer.
This is a reality we need to ponder and put into play more often than we do.
The Bible reveals this to us; we see strategic engagement being encouraged and expressed.
Proverbs 16 reminds us that we should use strategic foresight to plan for the future but then commit the plans to the Lord so that He would carry them out according to His will.
The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established Proverbs 16:1-3 (GNT)
Thinking Strategically Seeks A Solution … And Always Begins With Prayer
I love this narrative from Nakawala Amponsah – “Committing our plans to God in our everyday life’s changes everything. (Proverbs 16:3) Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. When we commit to the LORD whatever we do in our daily lives, Scripture reassures us that we can expect God to bring whatever we have committed to Him, our work, our plans, and our daily lives to fruition in God’s way and in God’s time. God can make our plans succeed despite the plans of the enemy to try to stop our plans from succeeding.
It does seem that we should feel empowered to think and plan, but what activates the process of fulfillment is our attentive action to put all our plans in God’s hands.
“The word commit in Hebrew means “to roll.” When we roll something to the Lord by completely giving whatever we do and plan to do over to God in complete dependence upon Him, we can expect whatever we have committed to God, whatever we have completely rolled over to God, to succeed despite the challenges, obstacles that come our way concerning our work and the plans we have committed to God,(Romans 8:28). At the end of the day, when we commit everything, we do to the LORD, Trust him, He will help us, (Psalm 37:5). According to Scripture, we can have many plans in our hearts, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails, It is the purpose of the LORD that will stand.
Perhaps reading this again would be suitable for all of us. I love the evident passion and the proclamation that is intended to encourage us to settle this reality in our hearts.
Thinking Strategically Seeks A Solution … And Always Begins With Prayer
This combination sets us up to succeed and find favor with God and man.
Thinking strategically seeks a solution, so we want to come to great expectations, knowing that it is a proactive process that always begins with prayer.
Hold on to this … always!
