The reality of the “unknown” is the one sobering reality that threatens any strategic response that we may have in mind for our lives.

Most often we feel ourselves to be increasingly fragile and we are fully aware that it is impossible for us to fashion our future.

Clearly, we, in and of ourselves, have no capacity to take on the rigors of our life journey.

We are finite, frail and hopelessly fraught with insecurity and instability.

By ourselves we are destined to fail … so our best move is to heed these words from Proverbs 3:5,6 … “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”_

What this means for us is this …

Brittany Yesudasan, describes this best for us in her article, “How to Trust God, Even in Difficult Times”.

“Life is not predictable. There are ups and downs along the way. Many of us want to trust God. When times are good, it can feel easier. But when times feel difficult, it is even more important to trust God. Life can be going along smoothly for a season. Your job is satisfying. Your friends and family are enjoyable. Your goals, finances, health and outlook seem bright. Then, all of a sudden, life throws a curveball. Someone you know gets sick. You lose your job. A friend or family member betrays you. The things you felt secure in suddenly feel shaky and uncertain. Only God’s unchanging character can give us a firm foundation in all things and at all times!

When We Live Knowing That All Things Are In His Hands … Our Future Is Certain, As It Is All His To Command

This is the posture that we will want to take on!

It is in this space that we will find security, safety and satisfaction.

When we live knowing that all things are in His hands …

▪ our hearts know perfect peace
▪ our hope becomes big and bold
▪ our spirits are set to soar
▪ our souls are calm and confident
▪ our faith is absolute and anchored
▪ our foundation is stable and sure

These are ours to fully embrace when our lives are firmly established in Him.
