Let’s Make Sure That Our New Rhythms Are Not Just A 2.0 Version Of Our Old Routines … And Only God Can Make That Happen
There is a real tendency for life to be perpetually provoked.
It seems that we have a constant need to stir some things up and to shake a few things off. We are either in a funk of some kind or we are fired up about something.
We seem to long for a new rhythm and we are quite prone to follow familiar fads, so much so … that the culture plays to our need for new stimulation.
Shockingly, at any given moment there is a global movement that carries us into something that we see as being unique and special, when in fact, it is commonly shared far and wide and almost entirely staged up.
Our new rhythm is not new at all and we quickly know that and then, almost immediately, we go on the search again … deep down knowing, the new that we seek … is not of this world.
Let’s Make Sure That Our New Rhythms Are Not Just A 2.0 Version Of Our Old Routines … And Only God Can Make That Happen
As you can imagine, if our new rhythms are so highly manipulated and maligned … then certainly the same would be true of our old routines.
We often seem to be fatigued and weary from the sameness of things … we suffer from the same frustrations and as a result, we experience the same kinds of failures.
All of this leaves us in a place of such fragility.
We can become gripped with fear and begin to feel that failure is the only outcome that we can look forward to … how tragic is all of this!
While these things are true and enduring realities …. there is a critical factor that must be introduced into all of this!
Let’s Make Sure That Our New Rhythms Are Not Just A 2.0 Version Of Our Old Routines … And Only God Can Make That Happen
There are new things on offer for us … but they come to us solely from the hands of the Father.
Isaiah 42:9 says it this way, “Indeed, the former things have come to pass, Now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.”
God will do new things and according to 2 Corinthians 5:17, this is His plan for us, ” Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
We need to hear this, ” the new has come and the old has passed away”.
New vision … being born in us by new revelation … and fulfilled by new anointing!!
These are the promises of the Father to us and they are ours to embrace and to engage!
It can be different and we must determine in our hearts that we will be diligent … and we will not be defeated or deterred for any reason.
Let’s Make Sure That Our New Rhythms Are Not Just A 2.0 Version Of Our Old Routines … And Only God Can Make That Happen
Here’s to waking up daily being aware of His new mercies … walking with Him in a new and living way … and experiencing the thrill of new vision, born of God … and thus filled with His favor and fulness.
This is the life that He is called us to live … why should we settle for less?
I am in …. and you!
