Frustration … Taking It On And Getting It Right!

Frustration … we need to talk about this!

While not a “constant” companion … thankfully … we do have to admit that it is a “common” companion.

The very nature of our work assures that we will deal with people & problems, circumstances and challenges that have high levels of frustration embedded in them. The realities and rhythms of how we live and what we do, are fraught with frustration … and yet … we choose to engage in all of these things knowing …!

Frustration … Taking It On And Getting It Right!

The fact is that we need to make ourselves ready to deal with frustration successfully.

While there are many causes for feeling high levels of frustration … my focus is on one … we choose to serve in places where frustration thrives … because we are called to be there!

We choose to walk into things that others walk around … or walk away from!

Over and over again … this plays out in our lives.

Like you, I can recall so many moments that were extremely frustrating … almost maddening … and though the names of those involved changed, as did the places and the specific details … the fact is that these moments have played out over and over again in my life!

Equally, there are many solutions for dealing with frustration … and my focus is on one … we choose to start thinking again!

One of the certain casualties of frustration is strategic thinking!

As the pressure builds, we increasingly become overwhelmed, out of our healthy routines and obviously disengaged.

Whenever we feel frustrated the first thing we need to do is to start thinking.

The moment we engage and start asking questions … is the moment that we begin to make our move back to freedom from frustration.

This is a solution that will work for us … it really will!
