Christmas … the most wonderful time of the year.
The fun, the food, and the festivities will undoubtedly fill our hearts with Christmas cheer. In addition, it will be family gatherings and familiar traditions that will warm our hearts with a sense of Christmas joy.
However, what is at the very center of Christmas will capture our hearts entirely. Christ has come, and He ushers in peace in His coming, assuring every promise He has made to us.
Tragically, we seem to have learned to do with less Christmas cheer; the level of Christmas joy has suffered loss, and the result is that we long for peace more than ever before.
I have come to where the cry of my heart for this Christmas season is this …
O Come, O Come, Emmanuel … Come Near, Come Now
The heartaches are heavy, the wrath of war is increasingly worrisome, and the awareness that we are battered and broken overwhelms us all.
In beckoning Emmanuel to come near and to come now, we are opening the way for the fulness of the Godhead to dwell among us.
What better gift could there be?
This will be our Christmas focus, and we invite you to join us.
