Welcome to 2020 … and the dawning of all things new!
In my case … I will become “pension qualified” and as we all know that officially makes me an “old guy”.
More than that, I intend to be passionately engaged in serving and positioned to enjoy and embrace all the new opportunities that the Lord has prepared for me.
This is clearly a time of dedication and devoted resolve. All of this energizes me and empowers me to be more emboldened than ever before.
I am ready to roll … and to take the new year on with a consuming zeal!
This not a pep talk … well, not just a pep talk … this is a call to step up, stage up and set yourself up to win big in 2020.
The truth of the matter is that we must be properly positioned by Him in order to prosper in Him.
This is really what I am seeking for myself … and for you.
Here is something that we need to hear again and again …

Any successful plan is crafted around these two words … focus and finish. Clearly, a stellar start and a strong finish are always great ideas.
There are a host of books and clever sayings that echo this reality to us.
My point to you in all of this is to remind you that focus develops discernment and the commitment to finish deepens determination.
There is no doubt that the need for discernment will intensify as we move forward and thus the importance of focus intensifies as well. Equally, the fight to finish will be increasingly contested, so courageous determination will be constantly in demand.

So much good happens in our lives when we intentionally take this on!
Let’s begin every new day of this new year with this mandate in front of us. As we do that, we nurture the disciplines that will enable us to live differently and make a difference in all that we do and say.
Tough as it may be …. this is the truth that will set us free.
2020 …. with the right things in play, we can win … in a very big way!
