In a world like ours, establishing safe places and connecting with safe people is becoming an increasingly difficult task. Security issues dominate the world’s agenda on almost every front.

Think about today’s news stories and headlines … almost all of them deal with safety and security issues. Everything and every one is being scrutinized in the hope that we can somehow assure … safety & security!

It is no surprise then that our world is seeking out safe places and safe people more than ever before.

As Christ followers we have a great opportunity to let the world know about the all sufficiency of Christ. He alone is trustworthy and it is only in Him that we can find enduring safety and security.

Now, more than ever before, we need to do all that must be done to be safe people who can create safe places … and more than that … we can lead people into a spiritually safe position.

Staying Spiritually Safe … Control Your Feet And Confirm Your Foundation!

The Word of God speaks often about the open opportunity that we are given to find in Him … safe places and safe positions. Think about how often He is described & defined in this way!

Listen to these words from Proverbs 4:25-27 …

25 Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you.
26 Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.
27 Don’t get sidetracked;keep your feet from following evil.

This is great counsel!

The pathway that God has prepares for us is always perfect … always! It may not be easy – but it will be perfect. Imperfect pathways are always the result of us failing to take the wise counsel of God and thus we end up in unsafe, unstable places.

If we will give all diligence to assuring that we control our steps and confirm our foundation … there is no doubt that staying spiritually safe will be our enduring reality.

And when it works for us … it will work for others!
